Support the Coalition

IN OUR WORK TO BUILD A FUTURE WHERE ALL STUDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO A SUCCESSFUL, AFFORDABLE, AND TRANSFORMATIVE COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Helping students start early and stress less on their path to college.

The Coalition for College is a group of 170+ distinguished colleges and universities across the U.S. that joined together to increase students’ access to higher education. Our diverse members are united in their mission to support lower-income and under-resourced students, provide responsible financial aid, and bolster students’ success in college — and beyond.

We help them make smart college choices.
Coalition schools are committed to making college accessible to all students, particularly those from historically under-represented groups. We accomplish this via our shared application, as well as free resources that guide them through the admissions journey.

We are invested in their success.
Coalition schools are affordable. Whether we offer low-cost in-state tuition or provide generous financial aid, we’re helping students graduate with low-to-no debt. We also offer a simple fee waiver, so eligible students do not pay to apply to Coalition schools.

We stand by them every step of the way.
Coalition schools not only offer students a first-rate education, but we also provide significant academic support throughout college. Because we believe that it’s not just about getting to college — it’s about graduating from college.

Our impact

Since our launch in 2016, we’ve served more than one million students with our digital tools and college advice, and we’ve provided more than 300,000 application fee waivers to students who need them.

Over this time, we’ve connected 500+ community-based organizations that provide free college access services with our member schools, helping create and strengthen bridges from under-served communities to higher education.

Many of the ideas we implemented in our college application, designed to serve first-generation, low-income, and under-represented students, are now standard practice across applications in the marketplace, improving equity for all students applying to college.
