Recreation Services
Recreational Services offers a wide variety of fitness, wellness, sports and open recreation activities for Cornell students, staff and their families. Through our broad-based programs, we try to promote a healthy and holistic lifestyle throughout the campus community.

Bowling Center
The Helen Newman Hall Bowling Center features everything you need for serious competition or fun-loving bowling, including 16 lanes, a pro shop, food and beverages, arcade games, Rock-n-Bowl and personalized service.

Cornell Fitness Centers
Cornell Fitness Centers strive to offer its members the best fitness equipment and workout options it can. With five centers located around campus, more than 70 group exercise classes to attend each week in the fall and spring and over 30 in summer, and an extensive variety of cardio and weight equipment, Cornell Fitness Centers provide safe, effective, efficient, and enjoyable exercise programs for its members and guests within the entire Cornell community.

Helen Newman Hall
Helen Newman Hall, majestically overlooking Beebe Lake, was built in 1963 to house Women’s Physical Education. Over the past twenty years, it has transformed into the primary recreation center on campus. It houses a lap pool, a two-court gymnasium, a classroom, a dance studio, a 16-lane bowling center and a fitness center.

Intramural Sports
The goal of the Intramural Sports program is to establish fun and inviting playing environments for all skill levels. More than 30 leagues and tournaments are offered to the entire University community each school year.

Noyes Community Recreation Center
For the first time, West campus has indoor recreational facilities, including a 30-foot-long bouldering wall. The new building houses a lounge, games and a convenience store, as well as a regulation-size basketball court with lines for volleyball and badminton, a full-scale fitness center, and a multi-purpose room for recreational activities or performances. The outdoor basketball court has amphitheater seating for spectating and special events.

Wellness Program
The Cornell University Wellness Program provides employees and retirees with diverse opportunities that foster joy, balance and well-being.
