1. Plan where you want to install post cap lights, side mount post lights, and stair riser lights in your space.
2. Measure the width of your posts so you'll get post caps that fit perfectly on top
3. Measure the distance between each of those light locations, keeping track of how many of those spans are below 6 feet and how many are between 6 feet and 8 feet. Don't include the span between your transformer and your first light - the calculator will automatically include harnesses for that.
