We have started a Patreon page with the hopes that
some of our followers would be
willing to donate a small amount to keep DVDBeaver
alive. We are a tiny niche, so your
generosity is vital to our
existence.
We are talking about a minimum of
$0.10 - $0.15 a day, perhaps a
quarter (or more) to those who won't
miss it from their budget. It
equates to buying DVDBeaver a coffee
once, twice or a few times a month.
You can then participate in our
monthly
Silent
auctions,
and have exclusive access to many 'bonus' High Resolution screen captures - both
4K UHD
and
Blu-ray
(see
HERE). |

Created before the censorship Production Code (also knows as Hays Code) that was established in 1930 but not instituted till 1934 and was in effect for about 30 years (abolished in 1968). Technically, 'Pre-Code' describe films made between March 1930, when the Production Code was adopted, and July 1934, when it was amended and enforced. This is called the 'Pre-Code Era'. The Code, once enforced, disallowed profanity, excessive violence, illegal drugs, risqu sexual elements (pre-marital sex), but that is not to say that all films made during the Pre-Code era had shocking or surprisingly adult content... many did as the it was self-governing without censorship. Fans who indulge are treated a forthrightness with realistic plots and scenes that would be, eventually, clouded for the decades following. We've posted the Blu-rays and a selection - but not all DVDs and DVD boxsets, posters and book recommendations!
