About

Born and raised in Walthamstow in East London; I've worked as a Microbiologist, an NHS Senior Manager, an IT Consultant and as a Commercial Photographer. I'm more-or-less retired now and able to devote time to my main interests; Still-life and Wildlife (mainly invertebrate) photography.

Over recent years, I've been perfecting a still-life "painting with light" technique that involves photographing each element of a composition separately (or sometimes each part of each element). I use diffused torchlight for this. The individual components are then blended together to form the final image. Fruit, vegetables and vintage tools and automobilia often feature in my still-life work.

On five occasions, I've been successful in the British Wildlife Photography Awards and recently had my first solo exhibition of still-life photography.
