The second single off of The Weeknd's third studio album, Starboy, is here. After the title track dropped last week, the Canadian singer is back with "False Alarm," which continues the artist's foray into a much more electronic sound.

"False Alarm" is... interesting. Both pop-y and punk-y, you'll either find the chorus to be super catchy or super grating. The sped-up nature of the verses is a little disappointing, especially for those who prefer the unfiltered sound The Weeknd had on his mixtapes as opposed to his commercially successful albums. While "Starboy" (the song) is almost assuredly headed for radio success, "False Alarm" may be more of an acquired taste.

You can listen to "False Alarm" over on Apple Music or Spotify. The Weeknd is also performing on Saturday Night Live this, uh, weekend, and it's probably safe to assume he'll be bringing his new singles with him.
