If there's one thing you need to learn before summer ends, it's this: there is an amazing berry called a black raspberry and even though it looks a whole lot like a blackberry it is not the same thing. It is absolutely delicious and should be sought out before the season is over.

See? It's true that the difference is small, but each berry has its own defining characteristics. And, if you want to be sure to enjoy both berries this summer -- which you really should -- you need to know what they are.
Here it is:
- The easiest way to tell the difference between the two is by the core, where the stem attaches to the berry. Blackberries will always have a white core, whereas black raspberries are hollow in the center (just like raspberries).
Now that you are berry educated, take advantage of the season and eat lots of berries (black, red or otherwise).
