Everyday Herb Seasoning
This Everyday Herb Seasoning blend is literally a herb blend you’ll want to use EVERYDAY! It’s super easy to whip up with spices you probably already have in your spice cabinet!
As many of you know I LOVE spice blends! I have several on Mother Thyme including my very popular Big Batch Taco Seasoning, Big Batch Chili Seasoning and my Italian Seasoning. Well my friends, the spice blends continue, and by popular request here is my latest blend, the Everyday Herb Blend!
Many of you have seen me use during my Facebook live chats a rustic herb seasoning that I raved about. Well, just before I ran out I kept a little to recreate this tasty blend on my own.
This Everyday Herb Blend is literally an herb blend you can use everyday! It’s great on veggies, roasted potatoes, chicken, beef, you name it! The best part, it’s SO easy to whip up with spices you already have on hand!
To make this blend you just need 5 spices
- GARLIC FLAKES (or dried minced garlic)
- DRIED ROSEMARY
- DRIED THYME
- FRESHLY CRACKED BLACK PEPPER Don’t use regular table pepper. You want those little cracked bits you get from freshly cracked black pepper.
- SEA SALT (or you can use pink himalayan salt) Don’t use regular table salt)
That’s it! Super easy combo that you can whip up in minutes!
The key to this blend is also using a small food processor to grind the spices together. You know I love my handy little Black and Decker food processor that’s been by my side for years. I love this little thing and it’s great for blending the spices and grinding them together, especially the dried rosemary. Any food processor will work. Just give it a few pulses to mix together and break up the rosemary.
I love how coarse this Everyday Herb Seasoning blend is, just the rustic herb seasoning I was replicating. The best part, it’s super easy to make and you’ll never be without.
This recipe yields about 1/3 cup, so a generous amount that you’ll have on hand for awhile. If you’d like to make more, just double the recipe, or what I usually do especially since there aren’t many spices in this recipe is I go through the recipe then I do it again. Just me being me! You do you. If you are comfortable doubling it, go for it!
This is great to put in tiny mason jars like I have here to give for gifts. You know how much I love doing that, and I know you guys do too!
If you try this blend, please let me know! I’d love to know if you love it as much as I do!
