OSC clients can access OSC resources through a variety of service agreements and mechanisms, as detailed below:
Signing up for an OSC account is simply done by going to my.osc.edu and clicking on the blue 'Sign Up' button.
General Ohio Academic Research Projects:
- Available to: Faculty members or research scientists who maintain a full-time position at an Ohio academic institution
- Description: Ohio academic clients are eligible for highly subsidized access to OSC resources, with fees generally only being charged above certain resource thresholds. These clients must submit a request that may need to be approved by their host institution.

Ohio Academic Classroom Projects:
- Available to: Faculty members or research scientists who teach a class at an Ohio academic institution
- Description: Classroom projects are not typically charged any fees. These clients must submit a class syllabus.

High Queue-priority Ohio Academic Projects:
- Available to: Faculty members or research scientists who maintain a full-time position at an Ohio academic institution
- Description: Ohio academic clients wanting dedicated or leased nodes (e.g. a condo) or higher queue priorities can pay fees for such high-priority access. These clients must sign a service agreement.

Other Projects (that don't fit into the above categories):
- Available to: Businesses/companies, non-Ohio-based academic entities, nonprofit organizations, governmental offices, hospitals or other organizations (which do not need to be based in Ohio).
- Description: All clients not affiliated with an Ohio academic institution must sign a service agreement, provide a $500 deposit and pay for resource usage according to a standard price list. In most cases, they typically also need to provide their own license for commercial software packages.
