The publication scheme gives information about our organisation and the classes of information we make available.
As part of our duties under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000, the GPhC has adopted the model publication scheme approved by the Information Commissioner for all health regulators. The model scheme classifies information at a high level and specifies seven classes of information. The scheme also sets out the circumstances under which we are not required to make information routinely available.
You can view the model publication scheme on the Information Commissioner's website.
A guide to information available
Our guide to information covers the information that we make routinely available on our website. This is provided free of charge, unless we say otherwise.
The guide is a general list following the format of the Information Commissioner's model scheme and we recommend searching relevant sections of the GPhC website for other information we make available.
Our publication and disclosure policy sets out in more detail the types of information we publish for our key statutory functions and how we make decisions about other disclosures.

Requesting information
Some information that the GPhC holds may only be available in paper copy or not accessible through the website. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, you can request it from us by letter or email. Our contact details are:

Email: [email protected]
Single copies of printed GPhC publications are generally available free of charge. To order printed copies of any of our publications, call us on 020 3713 8000 or email [email protected].
We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and within 20 working days, as required by law. We will provide you with a copy of the information you require, if we hold it, unless an exemption to disclosure applies, in which case we will explain our reasons for not supplying it.
We will take reasonable steps to make information available and accessible in alternative formats and to meet our obligations under disability and other legislation. If you need information in an alternative format, please tell us in your request.
We may make a charge for providing information in paper copy, for multiple copies, large numbers of documents or for information which is archived and where we must pay a fee to retrieve it. Charges will be based on costs of retrieval, photocopying, printing and postage. We will let you know how much this will cost at the time of your request and charges will be payable in advance.
If you are unhappy with our response to your request, you may ask for an internal review. We ask that you do this within two months of the date of our response. We aim to carry out a review and respond to you within 20 working days, but this is not a statutory deadline and we may occasionally need to take longer. If that is the case, we will tell you.
