Welcome to Salford Cathedral. We hope that your visit to our website will introduce you to some of the many glories of this extraordinary cathedral church and the people who make it a truly vibrant parish community. Our African Mass Community is delighted to invite everyone to a lively fundraiser showcasing Africa’s vibrant culture - music, food, stories and more!

Taking place at our Temporary church on 19th October at 12.30pm, the event will feature a musical concert, enchanting storytelling sessions, a tasting corner to savour a variety of African delicacies and lots more.

Today we mark the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as Our Lady was taken up body and soul into heaven.

We pray for our parish community, that inspired by Mary's witness of faith and her holiness of life, we may always be positive signs of hope. 🙏
