The United States Naval Community College (USNCC) was introduced to support enlisted Sailors and Marines in achieving professional certificates and associate degrees that will enhance operational readiness and improve warfighting capabilities, while putting Sailors and Marines on a path to lifelong learning. With the addition of the US Coast Guard, Coast Guardsmen will also be able to access the USNCC.

The new Marines of India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on Feb. 28, 2025. Graduation took place at the completion of the 13-week transformation, which included training in drill, marksmanship, basic combat skills, and Marine Corps customs and traditions. Following graduation, the Marines were given 10 days of leave before taking the next step in training at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.
