ACCET Petition for Re-recognition – Update

Dear Colleagues: As part of its process for re-recognition with the Department of Education, ACCET appeared at the August meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI). At this meeting, ACCET successfully presented and answered questions related to the submission of our petition for re-recognition. NACIQI voted unanimously to recommend to the Secretary of Education that ACCET’s recognition continue. Similar to a deferral of accreditation, ACCET will be in front of NACIQI again at the Winter 2026 meeting to demonstrate compliance in areas identified by the Department of Education.  Please join us at the ACCET Conference! We’ll host a breakout session on Tuesday afternoon with an update on the petition. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. Sincerely, Res Helfer, Executive Director Linsay Oakden, Director of Accreditation
