Third member of the 308 family, the future Peugeot 4008 (P54 project) will be unveiled in summer 2022 and then marketed at the end of the year. The Mulhouse plant is preparing for industrialization since the first body has been assembled and painted.
In March 2021, Argus revealed the first information about the P54 project, a code name that corresponds to a crossover (halfway between a sedan and an SUV-coupe). This third silhouette of the 308 family will be produced in China as well as at the Mulhouse plant, which already assembles the new 308 sedan and SW. This approximately 4.70 m long model will be unveiled in early summer 2022 and then marketed in October-November.

The French star of 2022
One year from the launch of the production version, the Alsatian manufacture has just started the process of industrialization, information confirmed by Stellantis communication service. The first milestones concern the shoe shop which produced and assembled the bodywork components (some of which are common with the sedan) as well as the paint shop. The Mulhouse teams thus celebrated the first painted body of the Peugeot P54. Others will follow in the coming weeks to put the prototypes that will be found this winter in the far north as part of cold weather tests on the road. During the first half of 2022, vehicles will gradually move onto the assembly line until the manufacturing agreement is obtained which, according to our information, is scheduled for October. Everyone who has had the privilege of seeing the Peugeot 4008 is rave about its sporty styling. After the 3008 II, it promises to be the future bestseller of the lion brand.
