“Every day at ALERT, I learn to depend on Christ more. I’ve learned there is always room to grow, that I don’t have all the answers, and most importantly, that it is my walk with Him that really matters.”
Kenjie S. | Unit 66
“Before I came to the ALERT program, my life was without direction and purpose. I would spend my time working dead-end jobs and playing video games, and occasionally participating in outdoor activities if invited. After going through Basic training, I saw a glimpse of what I could be if I wanted to change. Over my time at ALERT, I have seen God’s grace to me as my faith and reliance on Him grew. I can say for certain that ALERT has changed my life for the better in terms of leadership, discipline, physical strength, and so much more. I will forever be grateful to this program and the men in it.”
Joshua L. | Unit 64
“The unique tensions and challenges that I faced here forced me to rely on God and get out of my comfort zone. It taught me to behave with conviction, think with clarity, and speak with authority. ALERT gave me a valuable perspective about life, God, and people that I never had before.”
Len N. | Unit 61

Can’t remember how a soda pop tastes,
Can’t remember my old dog’s face,
Can’t remember what it’s like in the shade -
Welcome to the place where men are made.
Can’t remember when I last slept in,
Can’t remember no bein’ thin,
Can’t remember all the songs that I played -
Welcome to the place where men are made.
Can’t remember who I was when I came,
Can’t remember my own first name,
Can’t remember workin’ just to get paid -
Welcome to the place where men are made.
Can’t remember ever bein’ this strong,
Can’t remember runnin’ on so long,
Can’t imagine anything that I’d trade
For livin’ in the place where men are made.

We`re the Air Land Emergency Resource Team.

Strength and Honor
Men who serve as Basic Training Cadre bear the responsibility of demonstrating to a new ALERT unit what it means to be an ALERT man, and, more importantly, a man of God. They lead, guide, and mentor the recruits for the duration of Basic Training. It is a privilege and a responsibility to join the long line of men who have served as Cadre ever since the first ALERT unit.
Registration for the next Basic Training Cadre closes February 24, 2025. For more information, or to register, visit our website at the link in our bio.

"God, I pray Thee, light these idle sticks of my life and may I burn for Thee. Consume my life, my God, for it is Thine. I seek not a long life, but a full one, like You, Lord Jesus." — Jim Elliot
