This series has a peculiar ambiance because the global narrative is more akin to Hollywood action blockbusters than any anime I've seen. Some find this realistic, but in that case Mission Impossible or Avatar could be called realistic. For instance, the first episode shows the heroes climbing in hard wintry conditions, spending a night in the blizzard of Himalaya with no tent, and going on like a walk in the park.
Another surprising trait was the dozen of sex scenes. You won't find such short but explicit scenes in many anime, even less in Hollywood mainstream movies.
Apart from this originality, I did not enjoy it much. The pace is a bit slow, the overall story is weak, the plot has sporadic steroid bursts, the main character is too much cool, strong and smart to be human, the misogyny is too strong. There were a few intense or funny moments, though.
I suggest you try this series, especially if you like action movies. Its original ambiance may suit your taste.
