Yay! Here we get to see an adult Gorou after his pitching days in the Major's and he's almost kind of grounded. He is working on achieving a new goal for himself - and I have to say that I like to see the training and improving sessions in sports anime generally.
It's also cool to see him with his kids and to know that there will be a continuation coming where we can see more of them!

His family struggles with his decisions; especially his daughter Izumi, who doesn't know enough about her father to understand why he is so absent from their lives. Goro will stop at nothing until he's in the game once again; everything is now for the sake of the only gift he has to offer his children: Baseball.
