S1 was a bit crazy, and that was fun. S2 is toned down. Even if all of the characters (but one) come from S1, their intensity was washed out. The story is almost non-existent in the first half of episodes. Then it's okay, but predictable.
The educational side is also a disappointment. It's less integrated and impeding the first part of the story. Then it's rather wrong in the second part that focuses on wine. The series overall did a good job in depicting Paris and Burgundy, but messed up a few important points: white wine can come from black grapes ("blanc de noirs"), "domaines" use many captors and metrics to ensure the constant quality of their wines, and no "château" would consider converting part of their production into grape juice because it would sell to a hundredth of its value.

Professor Itsuki's Fermentation Cellar and laboratory is ready for operation and with Sawaki Tadayasu's unique gift to see and communicate with microbes to help, Itsuki's motley group of students begin to process different fermented products like soy sauce and sake.

Worthy follow-up of the first season, although it didn't have the same impact on me. Surprised they still had so much to teach us. Hasegawa totally steals the show in more ways than one and gets character development to boot.

A real progress compare to the awful first season. The first half is way too long, containing nothing but pointless failed comedy BUT the second half in Paris containt some solide character devellopment with Hasegawa that made the serie almost recommendable. Still, some of the character have again design as horrible as Initial D ...

hehehe... This can be a "must see" if you've watched the 1st series. A humorous "slice of life" about alot of things that can be construed as what's wrong or what's ok about (other) people's lives. Especially where alcohol is invlolved, and... most importantly (for those of us that are curios) about producing it!
