Good enough to watch even as a stand-alone movie. Much better when you watch it between a couple episodes of original Slayers tv series' first run. Recommended for every fan of classic fantasy.

This is the first appearance of Gracia Ul Naga Seyruun, right? Is Naga ever given an orgin story, I watched the first 2 seasons of the anime and the 1st OVA and movie and Naga appears in the OVA and movie but it's never explained how Lina met up with her or why they are together.

Naga's taken up following Lina after a noodle incident that is left unexplained in all sources available to me. Her reasons are exactly as stated in the OVAs - she thinks of Lina as her eternal rival and Lina fails to shake her trail for that entire period. It is assumed that Naga had gotten bored of following Lina at some point close to the beginning of the first season. Another point to consider is that all of the adventures She and Lina go through in the movies and OVAs are not canon to the original novels, even if the character herself is.
