This sounds vaguely familiar, except it was with a male protagonist. The whole sex leading to loss of powers thing that is.

On an entirely unrelated vague feeling, the synopsis brings Chrno Crusade to mind for some reason.

i would normally dismiss this based on every single aspect of it, but prod IG + taniguchi goro gives me hope. but only a sliver.

I would have prefer a second Berserk serie but it seem to be at least a nice time waster. I would had been way better to have a dramatic realistic medieval war drama but I'd be utopist to wish for that. Add to the watch list for the season...

i completely agree but i don't think anyone would try to make it since i don't believe there is enough demand. shame though

First episode was absolutely wonderful. Gave me this fun fantasy-adventure vibe. Was very refreshing to watch. I guess there is fanservice but it's not as obnoxious as it usually is and isn't forced. Maria is very innocent and fun to watch.

The setting and the artwork are wonderful. Too bad the main focus of the show are a bunch of slutty dressed witches. In other words, what ruins Junketsu no Maria, is Maria herself.

i'm more in agreement with rori at this stage. pretty underwhelming first ep. it was nice when it wasn't focusing on maria/witches, but when it came back to them all i could see was *FANSERVICE*. that succubus outfit was the worst thing ever. what the actual fuck.

still, i like taniguchi goro so am compelled to stick with this for a bit.
