Top Mongolian politician stresses commitment to eliminating corruption

TOKYO -- Mongolia is undergoing reforms to reduce corruption and strengthen its democratic system, one of the country's top politicians said.

"Mongolia does face challenges. But significant policy and legal reforms are underway to eliminate corruption, strengthen the rule of law, and ensure transparency," Gombojav Zandanshatar, chairman of the Mongolian parliament, said Thursday at Nikkei's Future of Asia event in Tokyo.
