Shriek
Welcome to the Shriek Boss Fight guide page of the IGN Ori and the Will of the Wisps Walkthrough and Wiki Guide. The Shriek boss fight is the sixth and final boss fight in the game and you'll need to learn their moves in order to bring them down.
How to Beat Shriek
Shriek is a boss fight with three phases. Each phase utilizes similar moves but what changes each phase is the scenery and environment you have to work with. Let’s talk about Phase One.

Phase One
In the first phase, Shriek will likely start out by attempting to pound down on you with her legs. She’ll slam each leg once and each time, spikes will traverse outward across the ground. Dash out from under her legs and be prepared to jump over the spikes.
The next move to watch out for is her full body slam. When she flies off, pay attention to the ground you’re on. When you see a gust of air rise up, dodge away from that because she’s about to land right there. This is your best opportunity to attack. Aim for the head.
The third move to look for is a flying dash. If she flies off screen, look at the left and right sides of the arena. When you see a large gust of air come from either end, that’s your clue that she’s coming from that side. You have to launch Ori up to successfully dodge this move.
She’ll likely come back for her fourth move after that which is a shriek. She’ll stand near you and let out a massive screech. It hurts but if you have the life, we recommend taking this hit on the head and attacking Shriek’s head. You can easily get five hits on her at this point and it’s one of the best ways to do a lot of damage.
The final move to look out for is the one she uses least often. She’ll fly up just a tad and fire projectiles from above. If you can bash them back to her head, go for it to do some damage. Otherwise, just dodge until she stops throwing projectiles.
When you take out enough of her health, it’ll be time for an escape. Just run right and don’t stop.

Be prepared to jump and launch to the right and keep your finger on RB because you’ll need to burrow through some sand. Just remember: keep going right.
Phase Two
In Phase Two, Shriek will use the same five moves she used in the first phase and toss in some new ones for good measure.
The first new move to look for is similar to her projectile one from phase one. The only difference is that there’s a lot more. Dodge the purple and blue ones but be wary — the purple ones will track you so we recommend bashing them back to Shriek if you can.
The next move to look for is her laser. She’ll start on the left or right side and go the opposite direction. Just run away from the laser and she’ll stop when you get close to the other side.
After that, she’ll do a flying dash again except this time, she’s significantly faster. If you see gusts of air in the air, launch upward and to the left or right. If you see the gust of air on the ground, launch directly upward.
When you get her health down enough here, you’ll be tossed into Phase Three quite subtly.

Phase Three
You may have noticed in Phase Two that the ground was slowly starting to crumble away. When the third phase starts, there is no ground. There is, however, a constant barrage of projectiles raining down from above. You need to constantly bash off of these to keep Ori airborne.
Bash the projectiles toward Shriek and if you can get close enough to her head, directly attack her. There really isn’t much to look out for here. Just bash and redirect projectiles her way, attempting to attack her head when you can.
Once you take her health down all the way, the fight will be over.
Watch the game’s final set of cutscenes play out and you’ll have completed the game. Congrats!
