The Alabama County Indebtedness, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 13, 1949, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the County of Marion is authorized to issue bonds and warrants. The proceeds from the said bonds and warrants would go toward the constructing, equipping, operating, maintaining or improving public hospitals or health facilities.[1]
