The Alabama Judicial Vacancies, Amendment 3, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 7, 1950, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the method of filling vacancies in the office of judges of the Circuit Court holding in Birmingham be filled as provided by Act No, 562, Regular Session of the Legislature 1949; provided this amendment shall only apply to vacancies which occur subsequent to January 15, 1951.[1]
