I am Casey Pemberton I have lived in the Clarksburg area for 10 years. I work as a legislator assistant currently for two vacant districts. I am active in the community and am concerned with how our government is encroaching on our everyday lives. I have been actively volunteering with my church and other local fraternal groups almost the entire time I have lived here. I am also an Eagle Scout.
  • Keep the government out of your wallet: Taxes are to high and we need to work on lowering them so you can have more money in your pocket.
  • Keep the government out of your medicine cabinet: Government doesn't belong in the decisions you make with your doctor. This includes holding a list of your medications.
  • Keep the government out of your gun cabinet: The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. That's what
I am personally passionate about keeping the government out of peoples business. Specifically Medical Freedom. Beyond that I am concerned about how the tax burden and regulations hurt small time farmers. I would like to cut the government down on all of these things.
I look up to Rose Wilder Lane and Calvin Coolidge. I would like to help people understand the importance of freedom and liberty. I also want to help keep the government out of peoples way.
I hold true to myself and my beliefs. I will work hard including when we are not in session. I am already heavily involved in the community and will continue to work even harder.
To hear the concerns of everyone in their district and take care of their concerns as much as they can.
A legacy of leaving this state more free than I found it.
My very first Job was working for Great Rivers Council summer camp. That job lasted the entire summer.
I grew up living right around the poverty line so it has been a bit of a struggle my whole life to rise above my circumstances. Specific examples would include working to get my current job and breaking my arm when I was working as a summer missionary.
It should be friendly so long as both are working to help the people of the state. It should also be recognized that at times they have to use their powers to check one another.
Maintaining a balanced budget and keeping family farms around.
I think it is extremely helpful to start knowing how the legislative process works. It's also helpful to know how the budget affects real people.
I am not certain but I think I would like to be on Downsizing state government.
I would say Jeff Pogue and Michael Davis. They both a great lovers of freedom and for Jeff he mad sure that his Yes meant something and wouldn't just say yes to anything that came up.
I think to a point compromise is important but you shouldn’t sell yourself out to appease others.
