Dierdre Paul
Dierdre Paul (Republican Party) ran for election to the New Jersey State Senate to represent District 37. She lost in the general election on November 7, 2023.
Paul was a 2014 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of New Jersey.[1] She ran uncontested for the Republican nomination in the primary on June 3, 2014.[2] Paul was defeated by incumbent Bill Pascrell (D) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[3]
Paul was a 2013 Republican candidate for District 37 of the New Jersey General Assembly.[4]
Biography
Paul earned her B.A in Journalism and English from the University of Alabama in 1985, her M.Ed. in Guidance Counseling from Lehman College in 1989 and her M.Ed. and Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the Teachers College at Columbia University in 1994. Her professional experience includes working as an education professor for the past 20 years, as an author of books and articles, as an educational consultant, as a public school teacher and union leader.[5]
