Jen Psaki was the White House press secretary for the Biden administration. On May 5, 2022, President Joe Biden (D) announced Psaki would be resigning from her role as White House Press Secretary on May 13 and that Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre would take over the position.

Psaki was a member of the Biden Transition, where she led the confirmations team. She previously worked in communications for the Obama administration.[1]

Biography

Psaki graduated from the College of William and Mary. She has worked on several political campaigns, including the 2004 Kerry presidential campaign as a deputy press secretary, the 2008 Obama presidential campaign as a traveling press secretary, and the 2012 Obama presidential campaign as a senior advisor. She also held communications roles with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and former Rep. Joe Crowley (N.Y.).[1]

She served in the Obama administration as a White House communications director, State Department spokesperson, and deputy White House press secretary.[1]
