John M. Owen
John Owen (Republican Party) ran for election to the Louisville City Council to represent District 5 in Kentucky. Owen lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Owen was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 43 of the Kentucky House of Representatives.[1] Owen was a 2014 candidate for District 5 of the Louisville, Kentucky City Council. He was defeated in the general election.

The city of Louisville, Kentucky held elections for mayor and city council on November 4, 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. In the Democratic primary for District 5, incumbent Cheri Bryant Hamilton defeated Keith Morgan. John M. Owen (R) was unopposed in the Republican primary. Hamilton defeated Owen in the general election.[6][7][8][9]
