Kristal Rivers (Democratic Party) is a judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. She assumed office on December 1, 2014. Her current term ends on December 7, 2026.

Rivers ran for re-election for judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. She won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.

Education

Rivers received a B.A. in political science from Florida A&M University in 1993, and a J.D. from Drake University Law School in 1996.[1]

Career

Prior to her election to the court, Rivers was an assistant attorney general assigned to the Sexually Violent Persons Bureau. She has previously worked as a prosecutor in Dallas, TX. She also has experience in private practice.[1]
