Marcel Bright (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Cook County Board of Commissioners to represent District 4 in Illinois. Bright lost in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2018.

Bright was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 33 of the Illinois House of Representatives. Bright was removed from the ballot before the primary election.[1]

Biography

Marcel Bright was born and lives in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Bowen High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Eastern Illinois University and a master's degree from the University of Illinois. Bright’s career experience includes working as a reporter for the Decatur Herald and Review, as a Public Information Officer for the State of Illinois, and as patrol officer for the Chicago Police Department.[2]
