Mary Scott Hunter (Republican Party) was a member of the Alabama State Board of Education, representing District 8. Hunter assumed office in 2011. Hunter left office on January 1, 2019.

Hunter (Republican Party) ran for election to the Alabama State Senate to represent District 7. Hunter lost in the Republican primary on June 5, 2018.

Biography

A native of the Gulf coast of Alabama, Hunter joined the Air Force Judge Advocate Corps following her graduation from law school in 1998. During her 10 years of service in the United States Air Force, the Air Force Reserves, and the Alabama Air National Guard, Hunter served tours of duty in Germany, South Korea, and Kuwait. She received her honorable discharge in 2008 at the rank of Major. Hunter and her husband are the co-owners of Torel Technology. In 2012, Hunter became the compliance chief at Intuitive Research and Technology Company.[1]
