Founded by leading South Sudanese businessman, philanthropist and visionary Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel, the Foundation has since its establishment made impact in education especially in providing scholarships, environment and climate change, health, food security, among other areas.
At the heart and soul of Dr. Benjamin Bol Foundation is addressing poverty. Poverty, in the simplest sense of the word, is a state where one lacks access to basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter.
Our model of addressing poverty is hinged on the sustainable livelihood model, that is, taking a comprehensive or holistic approach that tries to capture, and provide a means of understanding, the fundamental causes and dimensions of poverty without narrowing the focus onto just a few factors.
Driven by abiding patriotism, Dr. Benjamin had a vision of transforming South Sudan into an economically independent regional power base. He envisioned that in order to achieve this, South Sudan needed well developed road infrastructure, sufficiency in Agriculture and food production and manufacturing entities created by indigenous South Sudanese.
We exist to support development, aid projects and the improvement of the social and economic needs of people of South Sudan.
