5 That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
5 That I may see the (G)prosperity of Your chosen ones,That I may (H)rejoice in the gladness of Your nation,That I may (I)glory with Your (f)inheritance.
5 so that I may enjoy the prosperityof Your chosen ones, rejoice in the joy of Your nation, and boast about Your heritage.(E)
5 to witness the prosperity of your chosen ones, to rejoice in your nation's joy, to glory in your inheritance.
5 That I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones,That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation,That I may glory with Your inheritance.
7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
7 Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your (h)wonders; They (L)did not remember (i)Your abundant kindnesses,But (M)rebelled by the sea, at the (j)Red Sea.
7 Our fathers in Egypt did not graspthe significance of Your wonderful worksor remember Your many acts of faithful love;instead, they rebelled by the sea—the Red Sea.(G)
7 In Egypt, our ancestors neither comprehended your awesome deeds nor remembered your abundant gracious love. Instead, they rebelled beside the sea, the Reed Sea.
9 He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
9 Thus He (P)rebuked the (k)Red Sea and it (Q)dried up,And He (R)led them through the deeps, as through the wilderness.
9 He shouted at the Reed Sea and it dried up; and led them through the sea as though through a desert.
10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
10 So He (S)saved them from the (l)hand of the one who hated them,And (T)redeemed them from the (m)hand of the enemy.
10 He delivered them from the power of their foe; redeeming them from the power of their enemy.
23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
23 Therefore (AL)He said that He would destroy them,Had not (AM)Moses His chosen one stood in the breach before Him,To turn away His wrath from destroying them.
23 So He said He would have destroyed them—if Moses His chosen onehad not stood before Him in the breachto turn His wrath away from destroying them.(W)
23 He would have destroyed them but for Moses, his chosen one, who stood in the breach before him to avert his destructive wrath.
27 To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
27 and would disperse their descendants(d)among the nations, scattering them throughout the lands.(AA)
27 to cause their children to perish among the nations and be scattered among many lands.
27 And that He would cast out their descendants among the nationsAnd scatter them in the lands [of the earth].
32 They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
32 They also (BA)provoked Him to wrath at the waters of (v)Meribah,So that it (BB)went hard with Moses on their account;
32 They provoked wrath at the waters of Meribah, and Moses suffered on account of them.
38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
38 And shed (BK)innocent blood,The blood of their (BL)sons and their daughters,Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was (BM)polluted with the blood.
38 They shed innocent blood—the blood of their sons and daughterswhom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;so the land became polluted with blood.(AL)
38 They shed innocent blood the blood of their sons and daughters whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, thereby polluting the land with blood.
38 And shed innocent blood,Even the blood of their sons and of their daughters,Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with their blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
39 Therefore, they became unclean because of what they did; they have acted like whores by their evil deeds.
39 In this way they became unclean in their practices; They played the prostitute in their own deeds [by giving their worship, which belongs to God alone, to other “gods”].
40 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
40 Therefore the (BP)anger of the Lord was kindled against His peopleAnd He (BQ)abhorred His (z)(BR)inheritance.
40 The LORD's anger burned against his people, so that he despised his own inheritance.
43 Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
43 Many times He would (BU)deliver them; They, however, were rebellious in their (BV)counsel,And so (BW)sank down in their iniquity.
43 He rescued them many times, but they continued to rebel deliberatelyand were beaten down by their sin.(AQ)
43 He delivered them many times, but they demonstrated rebellion by their evil plans; therefore they sunk deep in their sins.
43 Many times He rescued them; But they were rebellious in their counsel,And sank down in their wickedness.
45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
45 And He (BY)remembered His covenant for their sake,And (ac)(BZ)relented (CA)according to the greatness of His lovingkindness.
45 he remembered his covenant with them, and so relented according to the greatness of his gracious love.
45 And He remembered His covenant for their sake,And relented [rescinding their sentence] according to the greatness of His lovingkindness [when they cried out to Him],
