{A Psalm of David.} The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD'S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.read more.
And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. They understood not that he spake to them of the Father. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

I and my Father are one.

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
