For our momentary and light affliction works for us in surpassing measure an eternal weight of glory;
And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars, for ever and ever.
For this cause I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
For thou hast delivered my soul from death; wilt thou not keep my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not God of the dead, but of the living.
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Ye therefore greatly err.
I enjoin thee before God who preserves all things in life, and Christ Jesus who witnessed before Pontius Pilate the good confession,
Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me.
That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes; that which we contemplated, and our hands handled, concerning the word of life; (and the life has been manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and report to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and has been manifested to us:)
And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that is true; and we are in him that is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
It is the Spirit which quickens, the flesh profits nothing: the words which I have spoken unto you are spirit and are life.
who has also made us competent, as ministers of the new covenant; not of letter, but of spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit quickens.
For he that sows to his own flesh, shall reap corruption from the flesh; but he that sows to the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap eternal life:
