To those who are married my direction is-yet it is not mine, but the Master's-that a woman is not to leave her husband (If she has done so, let her remain as she is, or else be reconciled to her husband) and also that a man is not to divorce his wife.
Wives, submit to your husbands, as befits those who belong to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and never treat them harshly.

And fathers, do not irritate your children, but bring them up with Christian discipline and instruction.

All who are in the position of slaves should regard their masters as deserving of the greatest respect, so that the Name of God, and our Teaching, may not be maligned.
Urge slaves to be submissive to their owners in all circumstances, and to try their best to please them.
Those of you who are domestic servants should always be submissive and respectful to their masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are arbitrary.
