Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right before God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee.
Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Take heed, brethren, left there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God:

And the men were scorched exceedingly, and blasphemed the name of God, who had power over these plagues: but they repented not to give him glory.
Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, by the ignorance that is in them, through the hardness of their hearts:
Because knowing God, they did not glorify him as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their reasonings, and their foolish heart was darkened.
But the veil lieth on their heart when Moses is read until this day.
Whose unbelieving minds the god of this world hath blinded, lest the illumination of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them.

And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of man proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, envy, evil speaking, pride, foolishness.read more.
All these evils come from within, and defile the man.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness in the desires of their hearts, to dishonour their bodies among themselves;
And he coming will convince the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
And hearing this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?
What shall we say then? That the law is sin? God forbid. Yea, I should not have known sin, but for the law. I had not known lust, unless the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
The secrets of his heart are made manifest, and so falling down on his face, he will worship God, and declare that God is among you of a truth.

But he who received the seed in stony places, is he that heareth the word, and immediately receiveth it with joy. Yet hath he not root in himself, and so endureth but for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straight-way he is offended.
And these are they likewise who have received the seed on stony ground, who when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy: But have not root in themselves, and so indure but for a time: afterward when affliction or persecution ariseth because of the word, they are presently offended.
Those on the rock are they, who, when they hear, receive the word with joy. But they have no root, who for a while believe; but in time of temptation fall away.
For it is impossible for those who were once inlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and been made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, And have fallen away, to renew them again unto repentance, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.read more.
For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh often upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them for whom it is tilled, receiveth blessing from God. But that which beareth thorns and briars is rejected and nigh unto a curse, whose end is to be burned.
For when we sin wilfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which will devour the adversaries. He that despised the law of Moses died without mercy, under two or three witnesses.read more.
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and counted the blood of the covenant, by which he hath been sanctified, an unholy thing, and done despite to the spirit of grace?
