But let him ask in faith, doubting not: for he that doubts, is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind, and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing from the Lord. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

And Jesus immediately stretched out his hand, and took hold of him, and said to him: you of little faith, why did you doubt?

Jesus answered and said to them: Verily I say to you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall do, not only what is done to the fig-tree, but even if you shall say to this mountain, Be taken up, and be thrown into the sea, it shall be done.

For, verily I say to you, that whoever will say to this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea, and will not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says will come to pass, he shall have whatever he says.

The governor answered and said to them: Which of the two do you wish me to release to you? They replied: Barabbas. Pilate said to them: What then shall I do with Jesus, who is called Christ? They all said to him: Let him be crucified. But the governor said: Why, what evil has he done? But they cried vehemently, saying: Let him be crucified.read more.
When Pilate saw that he gained nothing, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, and said: I am innocent of the blood of this just man; you will see to it. And all the people answered and said: His blood be upon us and upon our children. Then he released to them Barabbas; but after he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him up to be crucified.

But Pilate answered them, saying: Do you wish me to release to you the King of the Jews? For he knew that, through envy, the chief priests had delivered him up. But the chief priests instigated the multitude, that he should rather release Barabbas to them.read more.
And Pilate answered and said again to them: What, then, do you wish me to do with him whom you call the King of the Jews? They again cried out: Crucify him. But Pilate said to them: Why, what evil has he done? But they cried vehemently: Crucify him. And Pilate, willing to gratify the multitude, released to them Barabbas; and delivered Jesus, after he had scourged him, to be crucified.

And Pilate called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, and said to them: You have brought to me this man as one that turns the people away; and behold, I have examined him before you, and have found in this man no fault, with respect to the things of which you accuse him; nor indeed did Herod; for I sent you to him, and behold, nothing worthy of death has been done by him.read more.
I will, therefore, chastise him, and release him. For it was necessary that he should release to them one at the feast. And the whole multitude cried out, saying: Away with this man, and release to us Barabbas. He, for a certain seditious movement that had been made in the city, and for murder, had been thrown into prison. Therefore Pilate, desiring to release Jesus, again called to them. But they answered, saying: Crucify, crucify him. He said to them the third time: Why, what evil has he done? I have found nothing in him worthy of death. I will, therefore, chastise him, and release him. But they were urgent with loud voices, demanding that he should be crucified. And their voices, and those of the chief priests, prevailed. And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they demanded. And he released him that for a seditious movement, and for murder, had been thrown into prison, whom they demanded; but Jesus, he delivered up to their will.

Pilate said to him: What is truth? And when he had said this, he again came out to the Jews, and said to them: I find no fault in him. But you have a custom, that I release to you one during the passover. Are you willing, then, that I should release to you the king of the Jews? They all, then, cried out, saying: Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

And though they heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, they did not believe. After this he appeared in another form to two of them, as they walked and went into the country. And they went and told it to the rest. But they did not believe them.read more.
Afterward he appeared to the eleven as they reclined at table; and he reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

Then the other disciples said to him: We have seen the Lord. But he said to them: Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger in the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.
