Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace will be with you.
Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, Assemble the people to me, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle to the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honorable, but we are despised. Even to this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling-place; And labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it; Being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things to this day. Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them who walk so as ye have us for an example.
For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread for naught; but wrought with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves a pattern to you to follow us.
But if any widow hath children or nephews, let them learn first to show piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing from whom thou hast learned them;
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain to wise counsels:
The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
And the things that thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Thou therefore who teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
