And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nations which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revelings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin may be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we are dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died to sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth to God.

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our body.

If ye then be raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
