For the promise that he should be heir of the world was not given to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law: but through the righteousness which cometh of faith. For if they which are of the law be heirs, then is faith but vain, and the promise of none effect. Because the law causeth wrath. For where no law is, there is no transgression.read more.
Therefore by faith is the inheritance given, that it might come of favour: and that the promise might be sure to all the seed. But the children of promise are counted the seed.

for ye are born anew, not of mortal seed, but of immortal seed, by the word of God which liveth, and lasteth forever.

Jesus answered, and said unto him, "Verily, verily I say unto thee: except a man be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said unto him, "How can a man be born, when he is old? Can he enter into his mother's womb and be born again?" All that are born of God do no sin, for his seed abideth in them, and they cannot sin, because they be born of God.
