And he said, I will do this. I will dismantle my barns, and I will build greater, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou have many goods laid up for many years. Take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry. But God said to him, Thou foolish man, they demand thy soul from thee this night, and the things that thou prepared, whose will they be?

For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no abiding.

My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.

For there is hope of a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch of it will not cease. Though the root of it grows old in the earth, and the trunk of it dies in the ground, yet through the scent of water it will bud, and put forth boughs like a plant.read more.
