Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came up to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, "You see all these things, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down." And when you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be terrified; for these things must first take place, but the end will not come immediately." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
