IT is generally reported that there is whoredom among you, and such whoredom as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. And ye are puffed up, though ought ye not rather to be grieved? that he who hath done this deed might be plucked from the midst of you.
For I am now ready to be sacrificed, and the time of my dissolution approaches. I have struggled hard in the honourable contest, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: yet not to me only, but also to all who have loved his appearing.
And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more; nor shall mourning, nor crying, nor toil be any more: because the former things are passed away.
