He was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him up and said to him, "Master, does it make no difference to you that we are sinking?"

But when he felt the wind he was frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Master, save me!"

When the disciples heard it, they were dreadfully frightened and fell upon their faces.

The woman, knowing what had happened to her, came forward frightened and trembling, and threw herself down at his feet and told him the whole truth.

Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about life, wondering what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body, wondering what you will have to wear. Why should you worry about clothing? See how the wild flowers grow. They do not toil or spin, and yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his splendor was never dressed like one of them. But if God so beautifully dresses the wild grass, which is alive today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, will he not much more surely clothe you, you who have so little faith? So do not worry and say, 'What shall we have to eat?' or 'What shall we have to drink?' or 'What shall we have to wear?' For these are all things the heathen are in pursuit of, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need all this. But you must make his kingdom, and uprightness before him, your greatest care, and you will have all these other things besides. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries of its own. Let each day be content with its own ills.

And a squall of wind came down upon the lake, and they were being swamped and were in peril. And they went to him and woke him up, and said to him, "Master! Master! We are lost!" So they left the crowd and took him away in the boat in which he was sitting. There were other boats with him. And when it was evening, the disciples came up to him and said, "This is a lonely place and the day is over. Send the crowds off to the villages to buy themselves food."

But he answered, "Give them food yourselves." They said to him, "Can we go and buy forty dollars' worth of bread and give it to them to eat?"

Even now, I beg you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. For last night an angel of the God I belong to and serve stood before me, and said, 'Do not be afraid, Paul! You must stand before the emperor, and see! The sailors wanted to escape from the ship, and actually lowered the boat into the sea, pretending that they were going to run out anchors from the bow, but Paul said to the officers and the soldiers, "You cannot be saved unless these men stay on board." As she said this she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was he. Jesus said to her, "Why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?" She, supposing that he was the gardener, said to him, "If it was you, sir, that carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will take him away." "Mary!" said Jesus. She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rabbouni!" which means Master. Jesus said to her, "You must not cling to me, for I have not yet gone up to my Father, but go to my brothers and say to them that I am going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God."
