'Assuredly' in the Bible
Joshua said, “By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will assuredly dispossess from before you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite.
Now it came about in those days that the Philistines gathered their armed camps for war, to fight against Israel. And Achish said to David, “Know assuredly that you will go out with me in the camp, you and your men.”
Assuredly, the evil man will not go unpunished,But the descendants of the righteous will be delivered.
Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord;Assuredly, he will not be unpunished.
For thus says the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah:“You are like Gilead to Me,Like the summit of Lebanon;Yet most assuredly I will make you like a wilderness,Like cities which are not inhabited.
For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham.
