'Shedding' in the Bible
"[As for] the one shedding the blood of humankind, by humankind his blood shall be shed, for God made humankind in his own image.
Then Judah suggested to his brothers, "Where's the profit in just killing our brother and shedding his blood?
Reuben said to them, "Didn't I say to you, 'Don't sin against the boy,' but you wouldn't listen? So now we must pay for shedding his blood!"
and has not brought it to the doorway of the Tent of Meeting to offer it as an offering to the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord, that man shall be guilty of bloodshed. He has shed blood and shall be cut off from his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them].
You must not look on him with pity but purge from Israel the guilt of shedding innocent blood, and you will prosper.
Lord, forgive Your people Israel You redeemed, and do not hold the shedding of innocent blood against them.’ Then they will be absolved of responsibility for bloodshed.
You must purge from yourselves the guilt of shedding innocent blood, for you will be doing what is right in the Lord’s sight.
Cursed be he that taketh reward to smite mortally shedding innocent blood! And all the people shall say, Amen.
Now, your majesty, as the LORD lives and as you live, the LORD has kept you from shedding blood and from delivering yourself by your own actions. Now, may your enemies and those seeking to do evil to your majesty be like Nabal.
then this will not be an obstacle for you or a stumbling block of conscience for my lord [either] by the shedding of blood without cause or by {my lord taking matters into his own hands}. And when Yahweh does good to my lord, then remember your female servant."
Blessed be your good judgment, and blessed be you, who today stopped me from shedding blood and delivering myself by my own actions.

Cursed is the one who is slack in doing the LORD's work. Cursed is the one who holds back his sword from shedding blood.
Their hearts cried out to the Lord.“O wall of the Daughter of Zion,Let your tears run down like a river day and night;Give yourself no relief,Let your eyes have no rest.
Because of the sins of her prophets, The iniquities of her priests, Who are shedding in her midst the blood of the righteous,
And I have judged thee -- judgments of adulteresses, And of women shedding blood, And have given thee blood, fury, and jealousy.
"You are to say, "This is what the Lord GOD says: "The city keeps on shedding blood within her, hastening her time to be judged. She crafts idols that defile her.
“Behold, the rulers of Israel, each according to his power, have been in you for the purpose of shedding blood.
Slanderous men live among you, intent on shedding blood. They've eaten at the top of mountain shrines. They've crafted plans to do evil things among you.
“Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey, shedding blood, and destroying lives in order to make profit dishonestly.
As to righteous men, they judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, And the judgment of women shedding blood, For they are adulteresses, And blood is in their hands.
So tell them, "This is what the Lord GOD says: "You keep eating flesh along with its blood, you keep looking to your idols, and you keep shedding blood, and you're going to take possession of the land?
therefore as I'm alive and living," declares the Lord GOD, "I'm turning you over to bloodshed, and bloodshed will certainly overtake you, since you never have hated shedding blood. That's why bloodshed will certainly pursue you.
So they cried out to the Lord, "Oh, please, Lord, don't let us die on account of this man! Don't hold us guilty of shedding innocent blood. After all, you, Lord, have done just as you pleased."
and you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we wouldn’t have taken part with them in shedding the prophets’ blood.’
at the right hand then of God having been exalted -- also the promise of the Holy Spirit having received from the Father -- he was shedding forth this, which now ye see and hear;
and when they were shedding the blood of Stephen, Thy witness, I was standing by, fully approving of it, and I held the clothes of those who were killing him.'
It is in Him, and through the shedding of His blood, that we have our deliverance--the forgiveness of our offences--so abundant was God's grace,
So even the first covenant was not put in force without [the shedding of] blood.
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
In struggling against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, like a fig tree shedding its late [summer] figs when shaken by a strong wind.
