'Skies' in the Bible

“There is none like the God of Jeshurun,Who rides the heavens to your help,And through the skies in His majesty.

“Can you, with Him, spread out the skies,Strong as a molten mirror?

“Now men do not see the light which is bright in the skies;But the wind has passed and cleared them.

He made darkness His hiding place, His canopy around Him,Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens,Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Ascribe strength to God;His majesty is over IsraelAnd His strength is in the skies.

The clouds poured out water;The skies gave forth a sound;Your arrows flashed here and there.

For who in the skies is comparable to the Lord?Who among the sons of the mighty is like the Lord,

For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens,And Your truth reaches to the skies.

By His knowledge the deeps were broken upAnd the skies drip with dew.

When He made firm the skies above,When the springs of the deep became fixed,

We applied healing to Babylon, but she was not healed;Forsake her and let us each go to his own country,For her judgment has reached to heavenAnd towers up to the very skies.
