Katie Haden, Principal Librarian Collections, listed a number of factors that played a role in their decision:  “We were impressed by the TIND interface and the way it manages collection data to be simple, efficient, and intuitive to our user experience. We are also looking forward to working with the Digital Archive and improving discoverability of our Legal Heritage Collection”. SCLQ will be creating archival records within the ILS using the integrated TIND DA to highlight their unique digital heritage collections, allowing physical objects of historical importance, including judicial robes and artifacts, to be discoverable alongside their physical and electronic collections. “We chose TIND because they were collaborative during the assessment process, have a focus on legal collections, and are looking beyond finding solutions for current problems, to future innovation.” Haden said.

“One of the unique advantages of the TIND platform is its ability to manage a variety of content types within a single instance of the software. This creates a more comprehensive central repository of an institution’s content and allows for ease of both discovery and administration across collections” said Kathy McCarthy, Vice President of Partnership Development. “We’re thrilled that academic institutions, particularly law libraries, continue to see the value of this unique feature, and keep combining TIND products in this way. It makes sense for users and for the bottom line.”
