Adventure Time box art and other images
Posted by Huw,LEGO has just published pictures for 21308 Adventure Time, due out on January the 1st.
I am just on my way out so will add them to the database later. In the meantime you can view a couple of them after the break.

Nice - will buy.
Day one purchase for me :-)
Love it!
That's the weirdest box art I've seen in a long time. It's not unusual for LEGO to make use of perspective when making box art - i.e. something is bigger if it's perceived as being further forward in the image - but in this case the scaling is all wrong, and the reason clearly is to show the builds compared to each other like they are in the show. Now I don't know the show (and this sentence will prove it) but look at the green thing in front, the dog and the guy with the sword - in the picture they are clearly right next to each other, and should be scaled accordingly, but instead the green thing is tiny compared to the sword guy - and yet they're all three studs wide. The dog should also, if you look at the actual bricks, be almost as tall as the sword guy. Isn't that a bit strange? It's almost like saying 'this is what the contents of the box should look like'...
A big shame this is one big box instead of 2packs. I would buy Gunter and Ice King pack! <3
Also they put Marceline's Guitar AXE wrong
Lego still refusing to release parts 14417 or 14418 in different colours; that's very unfortunate.
There is no excuse for not having Lumpy Space Princess.
This is such a cool set. I like @lordofdragonss's idea... there should be more than just one set... maybe individual collectible characters?
These are right up there with the creepy holiday elves. Why do they keep making these hideous things?
@L@go. It is a strange cartoon. I have seen a few episodes.
Looks it fit with the theme /world in the show.
Liking the 1x1 pyramid pieces in trans-pink. The set doesn't really appeal as I never got into the TV show (unlike Teen Titans Go! which is awesome). Anything else in it that's especially new/rare other than the yellow unicorn horns?
I love the Lady Rainicorn model! It looks pretty good and captures her body shape well. Gunther looks great with his Nexo Knight shield wings, and BMO isn't that bad. The rest? Eh, I'm not overly impressed - Jake looks alright and Princess Bubblegum is fairly good, but Marceline, Jake and The Ice King look a bit poor.
Wonder if it will have alternates to make Fionna & Cake?
My appreciation of the show is greater than my disdain for brick-built figures, so I'll definitely get the set. I'm just glad that Dimensions is providing actual minifigs of most of these characters. (Fingers crossed for a Princess Bubblegum Fun Pack.)
@L@go, now you point it out, it is indeed a bit weird. Clearly they are not to scale...
Strange Lego set. Had been buying all Lego Ideas sets that had been recently released but think this might be a pass. I just don't get it.
Overall I like the set and will buy it. I do think the two main characters Finn, and Jake are the least successful. Jake is pretty plump maybe a yellow dish to simulate his belly? And the gray ball joints show more on Finn, as there is no hair to distract/ cover them.
Really not too sure about this set. In UK it will be £39.99 right? Maybe wait for a discount at 35% off? Dr who and Big Bang theory were more palatable at £35 each!
Pass. I don't know under what set of circumstances I would buy this, but it has zero appeal to me.
Have to agree with some of the lukewarm reception before me. The show has no significance for me, and more so the models themselves aren't particularly inspiring.
Sausages in black - is that a first?
Not a big fan of this set. Ideas sets tend to be higher quality. This one, however, is not. I find the design and techniques simplistic and unexciting. Thats just my opinion, but its not for me.
A waste of an Ideas slot, in my opinion. Is there really a large market for this? I had never even heard of Adventure Time until the set was announced.
Not for me chef. Quite religious on lego ideas but this one is not in my spectrum. Sorry
Awful. Hate these new style of figure type builds. The Christmas Elves and the Santa etc are just as bad.
@marook: No, set 7984 had a couple.
@TheMikeAwakens: I've been aware of it for a few years, and seen quite a bit of merchandise, so yeah, I'd say there's a market.
The fact that it's going into production proves there's a market. The TV show may appear to be weird, but it's experimental, educational and entertaining. It's a kids TV show but Lego is also a kid's toy ;-)
It must be enough of a popular series to get its own Dimensions sets as well. As this is a successful cartoon series on Cartoon Network in the US, I'm guessing it should have no issues selling enough of these sets to warrant their inclusion into LEGO Ideas. Though I am also guessing many may have wanted actual minifig scale figures to represent all the characters (as they had no issues making them for dimensions) instead of what was in this set. Though I think the 'off beat' nature of the set matches to the 'offbeat' nature of the show.
Not sure about this set. Daughter is fan of adventure time buy because these aren't minifigs she probably wouldn't be that interested. She likes playing with her massive pile of minifigs more than actual building. Having a Jake and Finn to join the gang she would love. The BMO is cute, but he/she is always cute (not sure if BMO is boy or girl!).
^ There are minfigures in the Adventure Time Dimensions packs (including a Lumpy Space Princess, which this Ideas set lacks)!
Part of my support for this project came from the perception minifigures would be impossible -- getting the minifigures in LEGO Dimensions is great, but it makes this seem like less of a necessary buy. Why get brick-builts if I can get the minifigs? Of course, Ice King and PB aren't in Lego Dimensions, two of my favorite characters, so more incentive to buy this then.
I don't blame anyone who isn't inspired by the building techniques, but does ANY licensed set really win out in Ideas because people like the building techniques? Was there a market for BTTF Time Machine or Ghostbusters Eco-1 beyond the licenses?
I really really really really really want there to be Wayside School sets!!!!!
These really are some of the ugliest Lego figures I've ever seen! Thought I would collect all Ideas sets but I refuse spending my money on this set.
I absolutely love Adventure Time, but I don't think I'll be picking this up. The fact that they dropped half the figures of the original Ideas page but kept the massive price tag is unforgivable. I do really like BMO and Rainicorn's builds, however the others are a little to blocky and strange, and you can get a bigger BMO in a cheaper set for LEGO Dimensions. I don't wee why they did this and not a full fledged Adventure Time minifig line, especially considering how well the Dimensions have been selling. While those Dimensions minifigs weren't perfect, they were good enough to make me order them all at once, and the in-game content (as always) left me desiring more.
This also feels a little late, considering Adventure Time's popularity peaked in 2013 and has been quickly dropping since its 6th(?) season, and multiple Ideas projects in the past had shown fan interest in making sets on it. At least we got something.
